Dermal fillers are smooth injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component of skin. Dr Taylor uses a range of fillers selected to address your particular concern and desired outcome.

Whether it be to restore volume, treat lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, shape, sculpt or enhance your features, there are many options to achieve the effect you desire. When used appropriately, fillers rejuvenate the facial appearance whilst providing volume and hydration. Unfortunately, fillers have a negative reputation these days due to the abundance of overdone puffy faces and disproportionate lips that we see in society and the media. This is not how fillers were designed to be used and most of these results were not generated by qualified Plastic Surgeons. Dr Taylor’s approach is to provide a beautiful, sophisticated and subtle result without looking “done.” Fillers are safe when performed by a qualified professional and can be used to hydrate the skin and stimulate collagen production and don’t always need to increase volume.

Fillers FAQs

What areas can fillers treat?

  • Soften lines and wrinkles
  • Enhance and hydrate lips
  • Volumise and define the cheeks
  • Refill volume loss in the temples
  • Non-surgical facelift (addressing perioral region, chin, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, jowls, neck)
  • Rejuvenate the hands, neck, decolletage

How long does the treatment take?

You will have a full consultation to understand your goals and develop a treatment plan that suits you best. The actual treatment can take around 30 minutes, depending on how many areas you are having treated. Prescription numbing cream is offered which takes 40 minutes to take affect so you will need to factor this into your day. Results are seen instantly.

Is it painful to have fillers?

Injections can cause some discomfort but this lasts for just a few seconds. Numbing cream is used to decrease pain associated with the injection. The filler product does not cause pain and contains numbing medicine. There may be some minor swelling post-treatment which will last for 1-2 days. It is best to allow at least two weeks before an important event to have the treatment so that any bruising and swelling has settled and the full results can be seen.

Will my face look unnatural after filler treatment?

The best results from fillers are those that cannot be identified as filler, by the untrained eye. Dr Taylor believes in aiming for natural, subtle and sophisticated results.
