Fillers and Bioremodellers

Non-surgical procedures

Fillers and Bioremodellers are smooth injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring component of skin. Dr Taylor uses a range of fillers selected to address your concerns.

Fillers

When used appropriately, fillers rejuvenate the facial appearance whilst providing volume and hydration. Unfortunately, fillers have a negative reputation these days due to the abundance of overdone puffy faces and disproportionate lips that we see in society and the media. This is not how fillers were designed to be used and most of these results were not generated by qualified Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Taylor’s approach focuses on delivering refined, and understated results without an overly noticeable appearance. Fillers are considered secure when administered by a skilled and certified professional and can be used to hydrate the skin and stimulate collagen production and don’t always need to increase volume.

Fillers FAQs

What areas can fillers treat?

  • Soften lines and wrinkles
  • Enhance and hydrate lips
  • Volumise and define the cheeks
  • Refill volume loss in the temples
  • Non-surgical facelift (addressing perioral region, chin, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, jowls, neck)
  • Fill lines and improve hydration in the hands, neck, decolletage

How long does the treatment take?

You will have a full consultation to understand your goals and develop a treatment plan that suits you best. The actual treatment can take around 30 minutes, depending on how many areas you are having treated. Prescription numbing cream is offered which takes 40 minutes to take affect so you will need to factor this into your day. Results are seen instantly.

Is it painful to have fillers?

Injections can cause some discomfort but this lasts for just a few seconds. There may be some minor swelling post-treatment which will last for 1-2 days. It is best to allow at least two weeks before an important event to have the treatment so that any bruising and swelling has settled and the full results can be seen.

Will my face look unnatural after filler treatment?

It is possible to achieve natural-looking results. Dr Taylor believes in achieving these results by using only the most appropriate fillers for each patient.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between fat transfer and fillers?
As opposed to synthetic fillers, the process of a fat transfer keeps the fat cells permanently where they are placed. They use a person’s own fat tissue for injection, rather than filler materials.
Am I a good candidate for abdominoplasty surgery?
The best candidates for abdominoplasty surgery patients are those who are fit, have already achieved any weight loss goals. Abdominoplasty surgery is not a substitute for diet and exercise and can be associated with increased risks in patients who are overweight or obese. Women who are planning future pregnancies should also delay abdominoplasty surgery.
How much does breast reconstruction surgery cost?
The cost for breast reconstruction is determined by the extent and complexity of the procedure, as well as surgeon costs, anaesthetist fees, hospital fees, and post-operative recovery costs. Because of its reconstructive nature, a portion of the procedure costs may be covered by Medicare or your private health insurer, but you will need to check what criteria you must meet to be eligible.
What is recovery from breast revision like?
Recovery from breast revision surgery will be similar to the recovery experienced following the initial implant procedure. It is recommended that you minimise strenuous activity and exercise after surgery. You should also avoid wearing underwire bras to facilitate proper healing of the underlying breast tissue.
